Backtesting in the Strategy Tester

You can backtest and optimise FXNook EAs without a licence key.

The Strategy Tester cannot connect to the internet, so FXNook skips the licence check there. You can backtest and optimise any FXNook EA without entering a key.

Running a backtest

  1. Open the Strategy Tester: View > Strategy Tester (or Ctrl+R).
  2. Choose the EA, symbol, timeframe and dates.
  3. Click Start.

The badge shows Strategy Tester to confirm no check was made.

Past results are not a promise

A backtest shows how an EA would have behaved on past prices. It does not guarantee future results. See the Risk disclosure.
