Privacy: What the EA Sends to FXNook

Exactly what information the licence check sends, and what it never sends.

Updated September 19, 2026 1 min read

The licence check sends a small amount of information so FXNook can confirm your licence. Here is all of it.

What is sent

  • Your licence key.
  • Your trading account number and the account holder name.
  • Your broker’s server name, and whether it is a demo or live account.
  • Your MetaTrader version and whether it is MT4 or MT5.
  • The product and its version.
  • A random one-time code that makes each check unique.

What is never sent

  • Passwords.
  • Your balance, equity or positions.
  • Your trade history.

What FXNook keeps

A log of licence checks, used to help you when something goes wrong. An unchanged result is recorded at most once an hour.
