The FXNook Badge on Your Chart

What every state of the FXNook Verified panel means, and what to do about it.

Updated September 19, 2026 1 min read

Every FXNook product shows a small FXNook Verified panel in the top-left corner of the chart. It tells you the licence state at a glance and proves the product is genuinely licensed.

What each state means

The badge showsMeaning
Licence activeAll good. The EA trades normally.
Licence active (offline)FXNook could not be reached, so the EA is running on its last verified answer. See How your licence is checked.
vX.Y availableA newer version is out. Download it from My Account > Downloads.
Strategy TesterYou are backtesting. No licence check is made.
LICENCE CHECK FAILED – NOT TRADINGThe EA is on the chart but not trading. The line underneath says why.

When the check fails

  • The EA stays on the chart and does nothing, so you can read the reason.
  • You get one popup alert for each new reason, and a line starting with FXNook: in the Experts tab.
  • Fix the problem and the EA starts again by itself within about a minute.

Every message and its fix is in Common errors and fixes.

Good to know

  • The badge adapts to light and dark chart colours.
  • If an EA clears the chart for its own display, the badge redraws itself.
  • The badge is part of every FXNook product and cannot be switched off.
