The FXNook Badge on Your Chart
What every state of the FXNook Verified panel means, and what to do about it.
Every FXNook product shows a small FXNook Verified panel in the top-left corner of the chart. It tells you the licence state at a glance and proves the product is genuinely licensed.
What each state means
| The badge shows | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Licence active | All good. The EA trades normally. |
| Licence active (offline) | FXNook could not be reached, so the EA is running on its last verified answer. See How your licence is checked. |
| vX.Y available | A newer version is out. Download it from My Account > Downloads. |
| Strategy Tester | You are backtesting. No licence check is made. |
| LICENCE CHECK FAILED – NOT TRADING | The EA is on the chart but not trading. The line underneath says why. |
When the check fails
- The EA stays on the chart and does nothing, so you can read the reason.
- You get one popup alert for each new reason, and a line starting with
FXNook:in the Experts tab. - Fix the problem and the EA starts again by itself within about a minute.
Every message and its fix is in Common errors and fixes.
Good to know
- The badge adapts to light and dark chart colours.
- If an EA clears the chart for its own display, the badge redraws itself.
- The badge is part of every FXNook product and cannot be switched off.
