How Your Licence Is Checked

When the EA checks its licence, what happens when it expires or is revoked, and how it copes offline.

Your EA checks its licence with FXNook regularly. Knowing when helps you understand what you see on the chart.

When it checks

WhenWhat happens
When the EA startsA full check every time you attach it or open MetaTrader.
Every 15 minutesWhile the licence is good.
Every minuteWhile the licence is refused, so a fix is noticed quickly.
Within about a minuteAfter FXNook revokes, suspends or reactivates your licence, or moves it to another account.
At the expiry momentThe EA checks again straight away and stops if you have not renewed.

When a licence ends

When a licence expires, is revoked or is suspended, the EA stops opening and managing trades and the badge shows the reason. Trades that are already open are not closed. Once a valid licence key is in place, it starts again by itself.

If your internet or VPS drops

  • The EA keeps running on its last verified answer for a few days – usually 5, set by the seller between 0 and 30.
  • The badge shows Licence active (offline).
  • It never runs past the licence’s expiry date offline, never on a different account, and a revoked licence stays revoked.
  • After the allowance, it stops until it can reach FXNook again.

Why it cannot be faked

Every answer from FXNook is digitally signed and tied to that one request and your trading account. A copied or edited answer is refused.
