Updates and Version Rules

Submitting EA updates, versioning, and re-verification rules.

Updated September 19, 2026 1 min read

Releasing a new version

  1. Open the product in your Vendor Dashboard.
  2. Under Released versions, click + Release a new version.
  3. Choose the new compiled file.
  4. Enter a version number higher than the live one. The next number is suggested.
  5. Write what changed. Customers are emailed this.
  6. Confirm the licensing code is in the file, then save.

What is refused

  • A file identical to the live one.
  • A version number that is not higher.
  • An empty “what changed”.

After you submit

  1. The new version goes through verification.
  2. When approved, customers’ downloads are replaced, customers are emailed, and their chart badge shows the update.

Recompile with a fresh licensing file

Download a fresh licensing file when FXNook asks you to, for example after a security update. Customers of an EA built with an outdated file may see “this EA was compiled with an old licensing file”.
