Understanding a Product Page
What the badges, results, version history and specs on a product page tell you.
Every product page is laid out the same way, so you can compare EAs quickly. Here is what each part tells you.
The badges
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Licensing verified | FXNook tested the compiled file: it checks its licence and stops when a licence is revoked. |
| Top rated vendor | The seller averages 4.5 stars or more across at least 5 reviews. |
| Best seller | 50 or more sales. |
| Performance badges | Earned only from live results that FXNook has verified. Up to two are shown – see below. |
Results: backtest or live
- Backtest results – how the EA would have traded on past prices. Useful, but not real trading.
- Verified live results – a real account, checked by FXNook before it is shown. Live results that have not been checked are never shown to buyers.
- Live results from a connected Myfxbook account are refreshed automatically. Gain, drawdown, balance, the curve and the monthly bars cover the whole account; win rate, averages, lot sizes and streaks come from the most recent trades Myfxbook provides. The page says which.
Performance badges
| Badge | Rule |
|---|---|
| Outstanding | Gain of 100% or more, maximum drawdown 20% or less, at least 12 months. |
| Risk Efficient | Gain at least 3 times the maximum drawdown, at least 6 months. |
| Low Drawdown | Maximum drawdown 10% or less, at least 6 months. |
| High Return | Gain of 100% or more, at least 6 months. |
| Proven Track Record | At least 24 months of verified history. |
| High Drawdown / Very High Drawdown | Maximum drawdown above 30% / above 50%. |
| Limited Track Record | Less than 6 months of verified history. |
| Backtest Only / No Performance Data | No verified live results yet. |
Badges describe the past. A good track record does not guarantee future results – see the Risk disclosure.
What’s new and version history
The version number follows the product name. What’s new shows the latest release and its date, and the Version history tab lists every release with what changed. Every new version is tested by FXNook before it reaches you.
At a glance
Beside the Buy button, At a glance lists the type, current version, licence options and number of trading accounts, followed by the seller’s specs: trading pair, timeframe, set file, minimum equity, starting lot, platform, installation guide and a performance link. “Not provided” means the seller has not given one.
