  3. Open the folder from the table above and copy the file in.
  4. Restart MetaTrader, or right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and choose Refresh.
  5. Allow FXNook in MetaTrader – see Allowing FXNook in MetaTrader.
  6. Drag the EA onto a chart, paste your key into FXNook_LicenseKey and click OK.
  7. Turn on AutoTrading (MT4) or Algo Trading (MT5).

Checking it has loaded

  • The EA’s name appears in the top-right of the chart.
  • The FXNook badge appears in the top-left.
  • The Experts tab at the bottom of MetaTrader shows a line starting with FXNook:.

Frequently asked questions

The EA does not appear in the Navigator.

It is in the wrong folder, or MetaTrader has not refreshed. Use File > Open Data Folder, check the folder name, then Refresh.

Do I need “Allow DLL imports”?

Not for FXNook licensing. Only if the seller says their EA needs it.
