How to get new versions, and how to update an EA that is already running.

Sellers release new versions to fix problems and improve their products. Every new version is reviewed by FXNook before you get it.

How you find out

  • An email with what changed.
  • The badge on your chart shows vX.Y available.
  • My Licences shows the latest version, and warns if the EA on your chart is older.

Updating

  1. Go to My Account > Downloads and download the product again. The file there is always the newest version.
  2. In MetaTrader, open File > Open Data Folder and replace the old .ex4 or .ex5 with the new one.
  3. Restart MetaTrader, or Refresh the Navigator.
  4. Remove the EA from the chart and attach it again. Your settings and licence key stay the same.

Your licence key never changes when you update.
